The Earth was a fivefold "serpent~skirted Goddess" to the
ancient Aztecs, who counted four directions and a central point, up and down, on their compasses. The fivefold Earth
Goddess therefore sometimes appeared to them as a woman with four sisters. They gathered on Coatepec "Snake Hill" to meditate.
On the way there, Coatlique makes a find . . . enough white feathers to cover her chest. She adorns her blouse with
these feathers, then becomes supernaturally pregnant! She's already birthed many children in the form of 400 stars.
The star siblings grow upset about their mother's pregnancy and plot to kill her .

Spring Equinox '05 I pray, "which Goddess to invoke for this season?" Coatlique answered.

Eventually, Coatlique gives birth to a . . . . .
When one of her daughters, Coyolxauhqui, warns her mother, she
is killed by one of the brothers. He chops off his sister's head. Coatlique takes the severed head of her
daughter and tosses it into the night sky. Coyolxauhqui becomes the moon!

EARTH DAY 2005 (April 23rd) I arrive back in Saskatchewan, having
been in the land of Aztecs and Maya throughout the Winter. On the next day, two womyn friends arrive to visit me with magical
Earth Day stories.Earth Day was sunny, warm and inviting. Jenna was hiking along the river at Cranberry Flats. As she turned
back towards her car, 'something' called her to turn around & walk towards the river. As she followed her guidance, she
snapped a few pictures of the landscape. When she opened the photos, Jenna was amazed. .....Two mysterious white spirit birds
appear in the picture! The birds were definitely not in the air when she turned back towards the river. The birds remind of
the white feathers that magically impregnated Coatlique.Hmmm...this Aztec Goddess, 'Serpent Skirt' DID show up for me on the
Spring Equinox!

Mayan Rattlesnake
The other friend, Beauty, was following a trail along the river near Saskatoon
on Earth Day. She loves to 'catch songs' and one of them is called, "Kundalini Rising". As Beauty was singing her song
and soaking up the warm afternoon Sun, she was suddenly startled. There on the trail at her feet was a snake!
In Saskatchewan, where the winter temperatures hover around -25 degrees, snakes are extremely rare.
The square pattern on the Mexican rattlesnake ~used in the temple architeture~
is sacred geometry that inspires good alignment with the cosmic consciousness.

As I explored the temple sites in Mexico, my curiosity was aroused, "what exactly is this
feathered serpent of the ancient traditions?" The reply: "The feathered serpent, called, 'Quetzalcoatl'
by the Aztecs and 'Kulkucan' by the Maya, represents the Kundalini energy of enlightenment."
