* Additional Guests: The cottage does not have a second bedroom, however the couch in the sitting area does convert to a full size bed for additional sleeping space. The additional charge for each adult guest beyond the first two is $100 per week.
You may informally reserve the dates you would like by 'phone or e-mail. If you make your reservation several months ahead, our receipt of your check for one half the full rental amount will confirm that reservation. We do ask, however, that you mail your check promptly, so that we may receive it within ten days of your informal reservation. Otherwise, we will feel free to make some or all of your dates available to others who may contact us later.
Your second check, for the balance of the full rental amount, will be due no later than 60 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.
For bookings made within 60 days of your scheduled arrival date, we do require that we receive a check for the full rental amount within ten days of your informal reservation.
- Cancelations & Deposits:
- No deposits will be refunded unless a replacement rental is obtained. If you should cancel your reservation for ANY reason prior to your scheduled arrival, there will be no refund unless a replacement renter can be found. If another rental is obtained, your deposit funds will be returned less a 10 % fee.
- Special Needs & Expectations:
- We expect that guests will discuss special needs at the time of booking. Every effort is made when guests are booking to accurately and completely represent the accommodations via web and telephone. If a guest is disappointed due to differences in taste according to decor, accommodation, location or any other reason and declines to stay at the rented property, this will be considered a cancellation and no rent reduction or refund will be issued.
- Utility Outages, Household Repairs:
- Please report inoperative equipment to us and every effort will be made for quick repair. Speed of repair cannot be guaranteed due to our reliance on island services, repair and utility companies.
For larger parties, up to eight persons, we do occasionally make the main house available for rental. Please contact us for more information about the main house and its availability.
- Island Construction:
- St. John is growing and there is some construction in most neighborhoods. Construction generally begins work begins at 7 am - 3:30 pm. We appreciate your understanding when constructions exists.
- Travel Documents:
- The U. S. Customs service does not require U. S. Citizens to have a passport to travel to or depart from the U. S. Virgin Islands when returning to the United States or Puerto Rico.
If you do not have a passport you are required to have an “other secure document”, such as a drivers license with photo or notarized birth certificate, to reenter the United States from the U. S. Virgin Islands.
Travel to other islands like the British Virgin Islands does require a passport.
Please be aware that not having a passport may delay your passage through customs and immigration upon leaving the Virgin Islands.
