On Saturday, October 2, 2010, the St. Andrew's Youth Group spent a fun-filled, spiritual day at Chickasaw State Park.
There were many prayer-filled activities along with fun and fellowship where the youth could renew old friendships and begin
new ones.
Grant Adams led many of the activities for the group and helped the adolescents and sponsors alike to connect with God,
nature and one another during the retreat.
Christine and Frank Olivio provided transportation, lunch and refreshments for the group, while Father Lamb, Sister Janet
and Dan Harris joined the group during the course of the day. There were many fun activitiew which included an hour
of paddle boating on the lake.
The day ended with a beauriful Mass celebrated by Father Joey, on a hillside in the woods. After the Mass, the
youth group went back to the picnic site for s'mores and conversation before departing for home.
Our youth at St. Andrew continue to show their commitment to God and their Catholic Faith. These young people instill
in us all continued confidence in the future.
