Shelley: A True Hypno-Tale
The first time I was hypnotized I was 21 years old. I went to see Pat Collins (the "Hip hypnotist") at
the Celebrity Club in Hollywood. After watching one show I was doubtful: "Where those subjects set-ups?" I thought.
So to prove something to myself, I stayed for the second show and bounded on the stage when Ms. Collins
called for volunteers.
During the show I followed her instructions so as "Not to embarrass the nice lady." After all, she was
an entertainer. I noticed that every time she exclaimed, "Sleep" I felt an irresistible urge to cave in on top of my neighbor
and even to the floor! But I definitely "was not hypnotized."
When the audience chose me to be suspended between two chairs (my neck on the back of one chair and my
heels on the back of another); I found myself supine and staring at the ceiling stage lights for many minutes. "Maybe I'm
hypnotized," I said to myself. "Just maybe, because I don think that I would normally do this."

Unknown Quantity: Some doubt the value of hypnosis because they themselves have not experienced its benefits.
And there is a tendency for the conscious mind to judge new unfamiliar ideas harshly. Once they experience hypnosis for themselves,
they know how safe and rewarding it is. Fears Some folks reveal some buried truth that they're "not supposed to." Or that
they lose control. Or, even worse, look foolish. While in trance your inner wisdom is your guide and that wise part of yourself
will tell you the truth. Such truthful insights are a tremendous relief. And, you need not worry; your subconscious mind will
only reveals what you choose to reveal. In a trance, any suggestion that violates morals or self preservation is greeted with
a natural "cancel, cancel."
Can Hypnosis Be Dangerous?
Hypnosis is no more dangerous than natural slumber. Practiced by you or a qualified hypnotist, hypnosis
is safe, satisfying and self-empowering. Hypnotized" by parents, teachers, mates or your own self-talk to believe you are
less than, that you are incompetent or a failure, that harms you too. Self-hypnosis lets you decide which suggestions to embrace
or discard. It puts you in the driver seat.

Can I Really Resolve Physical Problems With My Mind?
Many physical symptoms are psychosomatic, which means that they have an emotional basis. Come to think
of it, it is not really so strange that emotional strain or worry would produce physical symptoms. After all, every organ
in your body is connected with your brain by nerve channels. Crisis or conflict upsets your nervous system and therefore your
body. When you learn to relax the mind/body, your central nervous system returns to homeostasis and wellness.
If I Can not Solve My Own Problems Without Help Does It mean I Have Weak Will? Of course not. It is sometimes
struggle to work out emotional problems yourself because you are too close to see clearly. More and more, even those with
a great deal of psychological knowledge, hire someone to "hold the mirror" for them. Hypnotists help people overcome emotional
symptoms, increase abundance and creativity, and better personal relationships. Hypnosis strengthens the part of you that
chooses growth.
How Does Hypnotherapy Work? Unresolved inner conflicts cause nervousness and unhappiness. Hypnotherapy helps
you understand and constructively resolve these conflicts.
What Happens To The Hypnotherapist Information About Me?
Records necessary to clarify problems and generate solutions are kept confidential by professional hypnotists.
No outsider, not even your closest relative or family physician, is permitted.

Where I am today, is perfect. I have been on a journey arriving right here, right now, in this moment in time. I am welcome
in the world. I am part of the whole. I am here to make a new beginning on my spiritual journey and to experience and accept
joy in my life. I am in a perfect place for growth and change. Everything I have done in my life has brought me to this very
moment. Today, I am open to be touched by love, joy, and nature. I am free to experience fully the joy of this very moment.
As I breathe, my dreams come true. It is up to me to bring out the best of myself. I have a boundless capacity for joy and
pleasure. I am keenly aware of all self-talk and I quickly and easily turn any negatives into positives. I listen to the still,
small, inner voice within, for I know that my senses tell me the truth. I trust my deepest inner wisdom. My inner self knows
the truth about everything in my life, so I listen, hear and act from its wisdom. I remember every minute of my life. Any
pain I may feel by remembering hurts less than the pain of knowing and not remembering. I accept the truth. The truth sets
me free. I do not need to cover up past hurt with self-destructive thinking, behavior, food, drink, drugs, or sex. My parents
and their relationship are separate from me. I am not a reflection of my parents or children and they are not a reflection
of me. I am
