Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning
It is a common misconception that
Wills, Trusts and other Estate Planning documents are only for wealthy
people. This is not true. In the event that you should die
without some type of estate planning document, you will have no control
over the distribution of your assests. The State of Cailfornia(or
other State in which you reside) and the Federal Government will
make that decision for you. Additionally, your estate will be responsible
for attorneys fees, probate costs and estate taxes regardless of the size
of your estate.
You need some
type of Estate Planing document:
-
You want to control the distribution of your estate.
-
Want to assure a secure financial future for your family
-
Eliminate Attorney Fees
-
Eliminate Costs of Probate
-
You want to avoid or minimize estate taxes. (Without proper documents,
the Government will possibly take you to 90% of your estate in "taxes")
-
You have specific property that you
want to be given to specific persons at your death.
-
There are people that you do not want
to have any rights to your property at your death.
-
You are married.
-
You have children
-
You want property to be given to a specific
charity or organization upon your death.
-
You are remarried with either an ex-spouse
or "step children."
