below the Planck Limit, the metric of (macro) spacetime breaks down. Leptons, Hadrons, Bosons, Quarks, etc. manifest as the merging of Hardware and Software - Uncertainty results since events (at that level) may be nonlocal and continuous, or local and discontinuous (hence quantum tunneling, quantum wave collapse, etc. The linear and nonlinear aspects of HW and SW are meaningless outside spacetime.) The existence of Event Horizons is a case in point.
But note that such phenomena are often the outcome of human actions and intent; quantum uncertainty can still be dealt with as the aggregate of unnumbered contiguous occurrences, much as the behaviors of molecules of a gas are predictable in terms of the Avogadro number.
Consider the properties of Quanta, Quantum Foam and Singularities as time without space and/or space without time. On the Atom Metalevel, nucleons establish complex structural systems, that is, Hardware. Pauli's Exclusion keeps them stable - usually.
On the Quantum Metalevel, event as wave is a function of time! while event as particle is a function of space! with Photons being an obvious example.In terms of metric a Bose-Einstein Condensate synchronizes to space on one attractor and time on another; not to the metric of spacetime as in macro physics. The above accounts for the behavior(s) of semiconductors as well as Josephson junctions, CRTs and MRIs.
Quantum Gravity must be a parametric interface between spacetime, space! and time! Frothy indeed. And it's all math-driven (algorithmic), i.e. SW informs HW, and HW encodes SW. Welcome to the Ribosome.
