REINTEK modified of the shelf projectors, changing them from 600-1 contrast to 3,000 to 1 contrast.
This made the night scenes look realistic. The night sky was dark, not hazy gray like standard
video projectors. This is important not only for ith initial dark impression, but as the pilots eyes
adjusted to the dark, the night sky still looked dark.
With normal contrast the night sky might look fairly dark but as the pilots eyes adjusted
to the dark environment, the sky seemed to get very bright.
