Stephen Blackwell was born July 14, 1952.
After serving honorably in the Army for 8 years,He moved his family to Tennessee in July of 1986. He married the former Hazel King in November 1973, and they have 4 sons.
He is a member of the Church of Christ in which he bases his belief.
He has worked as a truck driver from March of 1987 to the present, transporting commerce from border to border. His extensive travels give him a distinct perspective of Tennessee in the need to sell products made here, as well as the need to also bring products into Tennessee.
He is pro-life believing life began in the creation.

He believes in:
Accountability of Government to the people,
Accountability of children to parents and,
Accountability of All to God, the Creator.

He firmly believes in limited government as outlined by The Constitution of The United States and of Tennessee.
He supports the individual right to keep and bear arms, The right to be free from unreasonable searches, and seizures, and the right of freedom of speech.
The responsibility of government to operate within its income limits, and distribute earmarked funds to support the appropriate programs for which they are set aside.
He is ANTI-tax and does not and will not vote for ANY tax increase.

His goals include:
Tax moratorium for catastrophic natural disaster,
Highway improvement for easier travel,
Families not torn apart by unjust bias of the courts, and
Insure Tenn. Care for current recipients.
