The Chuparosa means "Hummingbird" in Spanish. It's an evergreen, twiggy
bush which can grow to five feet. It is almost leafless with tubular red flowers which bloom continuously through the
fall. Older, less green branches should be pruned off at the end of the flowering season.

We have two of the Manzanita trees (left) on the top of
the mound in a prominent place. Right now they are about two feet tall, and have been growing slowly.
