The Bird of Paradise Bush is growing rapidly, developing a sturdy trunk and limbs, and that herky jerky look that is so characteristic and appealing.    It is adapting beautifully to its location.  After many beautiful blooms in springtime, many of the leaves fall off in summer.

This is our Bird of Paradise Bush.

We have two of these green bushes.  They grow in full sun and produce red flowers.  They grow in the north courtyard by each porch. We were very late in identifying these plants.
