This was the beginning, October 2006.
The ground was dug up and
lots of moisture applied, awaiting the landscaper.
It's late in October, and all the
plants have arrived.
At the last minute we decided to put
in flagstone steps, cobble stones, and a birdbath.
February 2007 and it already looks great.
But the springtime growth spurt was yet to come!

The colors are muted pastels now, the buckwheats are in full bloom.
May 2009. The birdbath becomes operational.
