Many customers like to know about the company and people behind their success. Here we will tell you a little about ourselves and our company.

Our Mission Statement

Instructor and beginning student

An instructor is only the portal to a better relationship with the horse.  If you are dedicated to listening to your horse and being sympathetic in asking for your horse's cooperation through perseverance and less “aggression”, anything is possible.

Our dedication is to teach the rider to be in control of his or her equine through balance, rhythm, body and leg position.  Logan International wants your time with us to not only be safe and constructive, but also to be enjoyable. Being at one with your beloved equine is our goal.  We are open to your needs and concerns and are here to help in anyway we can.

Sincerely,

Adella M. Logan / Logan Int’l Owner

About Adella and her family

Mike, Adella and Alivia

Adella Logan became involved with horses at the early age of 7, when her parents moved the family from the suburbs to the great outdoors of Morgan Hill, CA.   They soon had 3 horses and a farm full of animals.  She learned to ride bareback because her parents could not afford a saddle at the time.  This proved to be a blessing because she learned all about balance and rhythm with your horse at an early age. Throughout her youth, Adella enjoyed and expanded her knowledge of horses.

As an adult, Adella has been married to Mike, a wonderful supporting husband and father for 32+ years.  Adella further expanded her knowledge of the horse world when she came to work for, and train under, Nancy Worthington of Wild Oak Ranch, an Appaloosa breeding farm and public boarding facility in the Almaden Valley near San Jose, CA.  Ms. Worthington is a well known CSHA and ASHA judge.  Soon Adella became the Ranch Care Taker, handling breeding, show conditioning, veterinary care and more, all the while riding Western and English with a Dressage foundation and showing at Halter under the tutelage of Ms. Worthington.  Adella and Mike, had extensive show experience working with Ms. Worthington.

Adella soon realized that she had a very good eye and talent for working with people and horses, and began to give riding instructions.  Adella stayed with Ms. Worthington and continued her own training for 9+ yrs. She was working towards her CSHA and ASHA Judging license when in 1990 due to physical and family reasons, Adella had to sell all 5 of her horses, including her beloved 5-year-old California State Champion.  She took a long sabbatical and in 2000 she and her family decided to re-enter the horse world.  In a short time, friends and acquaintances were encouraging her to re-start her business to give lessons.  She now has 4 wonderful horses, 2 of which she uses for lessons.

Adella has continued her quest for knowledge with the help of Friend, Trainer and Coach, David Ventura and continued clinic sessions throughout our area.  Her knowledge of Ballet has given her the ability to help her students find the enjoyment of being “partners with their horses” by refining their balance, position and tempo to become more than just a rider who sits atop their horse. Adella continues to ride and train Western, English and Dressage.

Her daughter Alivia is an accomplished dancer, a talent that serves her well as an equestrian.  In a very short time, under her mom’s instruction and with additional coaching from David Ventura and Gretchen Beggs, Alivia has progressed from a beginner to a very solid, confident rider with expectations of riding for the US Olympic team.

Adella manages the Triple J Ranch in Oakley, a boarding facility where she also runs Logan International Riding School.  The School is flourishing and Adella's schedule is usually full.

Recently, Adella’s students had a wonderful showing at a local CSHA Region 5 horse show, First Place Ranch, and took home numerous wins.  Also, maney of her students have particpated in a series of balanced ride and rhythm clinics with David Ventura  and received rave remarks from Mr. Ventura on how well they are doing in their current training with Logan International.  Her students have shown and done well at some of our other local horse show venues as well, such as Yarra Yarra Equestrian Center, MarVal Stables and D'Alonzo's.
