To Contents. 8. Communication. The communications model is called SMR for sender–message–receiver. All three are necessary. Sending by itself does not work, nor does receiving by itself. In true communications, sender and receiver exchange positions at a rapid rate—communicating and proofing the message as sender and receiver. In the end, resulting action indicates what was communicated. Hopefully, equitable mutual understanding was reached.
