The Missing Piece Often the animal knows the missing piece:
something
factual, like, ‘My jaw is locking up and it's hard to chew.’
or an opinion,
like, ‘I only like grass, not gravel. I won’t use the driveway, and if I hold it until it's too late . .
. we're both unhappy’.
This can
be enough to plan a solution.
Maybe Action Is Needed, Not Just Talk Some problems are too deep to be instantly helped with just talking.
Then I:
listen,
make suggestions
for actions you can take,
and make
referrals, to a variety of healing modalities and practitioners who could help.
What will happen is up to you. Usually everyone needs to do something to contribute
to the solution. I can ask each family member to tell me one thing they would like to contribute to the solution, and one
thing they would like for themselves.
Medical Intuitive Work A medical intuitive uses energy techniques to become aware
of your animal's sensations and physical issues. As a medical intuitive, I use Reiki to do this. Please see for What is Reiki? more information. I often work with black and white anatomical charts. That way when they try to show me something important, I
have a context to help me understand exactly what they are talking about (e. g., my kidneys ache, my right front leg is clicking
at the shoulder when I walk, etc.).
An M.D.
works with:
symptoms
— what the patient feels and reports,
signs —
what the doctor can objectively observe, directly or through tests.
Because
our animal friends don't speak English, a vet usually works with just signs. A medical intuitive can report what the
animal feels, senses, or observes in themselves, so their symptoms get reported to the vet. This can help the vet choose what
tests to do. Since tests are often invasive, painful, and/or expensive, this can be a big help.
Animals sometimes ask for specific treatment, such as certain acupuncture points or chiropractic adjustments.
Since I am not educated in these areas, I give you as detailed a description as I can get from your animal friend, and suggest
you check this out with certified practitioners. Very often the client tells me that the practitioner understood exactly what
the animal had asked about, and it was the right choice.
Animal communication
includes the concept that it is not just the 'daily life' self of the animal, but also the 'higher self' of the animal who
communicates this specific information. This
is the number one reason I refer people to vets and other practitioners: in a way that is beyond my knowing, the animal may
have specific information or requests for their treatment. I also work to secure referrals to other local vets, and holistic
vets who will do phone consultations with your local vet.
Sometimes the animals ask for special foods or supplements. Once a horse asked me for a
blood builder by brand name, with a clear picture of the bucket it came in. I could read the brand name in his picture. Even
though I had never heard of it, evidently he had! So it is good to hear what they want.
