This is a sweet book about a boy who isn't exactly the best singer in the world, but who finds his musical talent in the harmonica...and winds up saving the day with the very same talent.  When I saw the book in a little, used book store in Sonora, CA, I thought it would a perfect emotional boost for some of my students who feel they can't sing and therefore shouldn't even try to play an instrument.  The drawings throughout the book remind me of charcoal or pencil drawings and hearken back to a "simpler time," or so one of my fellow educators said when she saw the book for the first time.
