This book is wonderful....and for some reason I can't find it on-line!   It is the tale of a giraffe who goes to the Annual jungle Dance Contest and is laughed at when he considers dancing because, of course, giraffes can't dance (although the lions are doing the Tango and the baboons did a wonderful Scottish Reel).  Luckily for our hero a little cricket sets him on a path that will lead him to a music that speaks to him and sets his feet a-moving.   I found that my 1^st grades sat enraptured during this tale...and by the end of the story they were convinced that giraffes can dance!
