It's Mine!
In the Amplified Bible we find:
Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things (we) hope for, being the proof of things (we) do not see and the conviction of their reality - faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses."
I especially like the phrase, "the title deed", found in that version of the Bible. It reminds me of the legal transfer of ownership of a vehicle or house, once all payments have been made.
One time in prayer I was thanking the Lord for the things I had prayed about before, when these two words came up strongly inside me - "It's Mine!"
The devil can't have "it" any longer. The Blood of the Jesus has already purchased it for me and "faith" says - "It's Mine!"
I had asked (petitioned) the Lord for a specific thing and over the next several months I had been resisting the devil's attacks on my answer, and I had been confessing what the Word of God had already said about the situation. But this particular morning while praying and confessing the Word, a "knowing" rolled up on the inside my spirit and simply spilled out of my mouth. Then I was reminded of what the Amplified Bible said about faith - "… the title deed… of the things not revealed to the senses." In other words, the transfer of ownership has been made and I have the title deed to the things - even if I can't see them yet.
What the Lord revealed to me was that what had been taking place during the previous months of "confessing the Word", was that I had been making "payments or regular deposits into the spirit realm" for the things. I know that Jesus actually is the One who paid for the things I pray for, but it is my responsibility to "call those things that are not as though they already are". And in Romans 10:10,11, we're told that "…confession is made UNTO salvation (deliverance)". Those "payments" made with the words of my mouth had made a powerful impact in the spirit realm. I had been walking in the "unto salvation" portion of faith. That portion of time between the asking and the receiving of the things desired, which we all have to go through.
Now that all the "payments" had been made, there was a transfer of the "title deed" for the things. The title deed in essence says - "It's Mine". No one else has legal rights to the thing for which I have a title deed. That title deed eliminates all other claims to that property. It's Mine! That's what faith says - It's Mine! It's mine right here and now even when "it" hasn't been revealed to any of the five physical senses. I may not be able to see, hear, touch, smell or taste it yet - but it's real now and it's mine NOW!
Just like when the final payment has been made on a vehicle or house, the person (or company) who sold it to me must immediately give to me the title deed for the property. There's a certain joy and peace that comes up inside when you know that you've made the final payment. An excitement and knowing that almost overwhelms you when you've mailed that last payment - even though you're still waiting for the title deed to arrive. It's almost like "you just can't wait" to get that piece of paper in your hands that say - "At last, It's Mine, and Mine ONLY!"
That's exactly what happened on the inside of me that particular morning. Peace, joy and a "knowing" that the things I had been confessing the Word of God over were actually MINE NOW. I had received the "title deed" to them. It wasn't a matter of wondering "if God or when God when", I had the title deed. It wasn't a matter of thinking about the ability of the Devil; I had the title deed.
Let me encourage you in your stand of faith. Whatever the thing or things you've placed before the Lord and that you have been given His Word for, continue making those consistent "payments or deposits" of words into the spirit realm. Your spirit and the Holy Spirit will agree at some point - "It's Yours". That may happen immediately when you read a verse from the Word. In some instances there will be an immediate "knowing inside your spirit" right then and there. In other times, you may have to make regular "payments" with the words of your mouth. Whatever the case may be, you'll know when the "title deed" has been dropped into your spirit by the Holy Spirit. Most of you reading this have experienced the rigors of making monthly payments on items purchased. But you've also experienced the sensation of knowing that one day you'll make that "last payment".
I believe the Lord teaches us that the same principle applies to things of the spirit realm. With one major difference - we don't have an exact date for that last payment/deposit. However, we do have a promise from Him that if we will apply the spiritual principle of combining faith with "joyful-consistent-endurance" (better known as patience) we will inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:12)
Let's shout it together - It's Mine!
