I'm turning BLUE!!!

So, get this: I live outside now! Like, in the
WILD! Okay, I still come visit Mom fifteen thousand times a day, but I fly around loose outside all the time (even at
night) and I'm becoming VERY independent! Mom makes sure my food bowl is always full, even though I'm an expert at catching
bugs. And guess what? I have FRIENDS! I've been hanging out with three other jays... I go on adventures
with my new pals every day.
AND my blue feathers are really starting to come in
now, especially on top of my head! Check me out!!!

Peering down at Mom from on top of the light...
... and coming in for a landing on her shoulder!
So, I'm not really SUPPOSED to be in Mom's car,
but she was getting something out of it and the
door was open so I just made myself at home!
Besides, I found MONEY! You can see in the
reflection in the side mirror (enlarged picture
below) that I'm helping myself to a penny.
Hey, a handsome young stud like myself
could use a little cash now and then!
