To be free or not to be free,
that IS the question...
|
 |
|
So, here's the dilemma: I
can't decide whether to be a wild bird or not. Mom lets me out of my cage every evening (and all day on the weekends) and
I love to explore the yard. I've even ventured out to some of the neighbors' trees, too. But after a while I'm
ready to come home and I fly back into my cage. Mom says that's completely fine (she loves me!) and that she'll keep
my cage outside for me forever... yippee! She's in no hurry for me to leave and says if I want to spend part of my time
free and part of my time hanging around my cage, that would be okay. So, I guess I don't have to make my decision right
away. Whew!

Here I am hanging out near my home-cage (the picture
of my enclosure on the other page is my work-cage at
mom's office). My home-cage is hard to see in this
picture, but it's a parrot cage covered in screen
(so I
don't get my wings or head stuck between the
bars). In
front of the cage is a pen to keep the dogs from
eating
all my food when my cage door is open.
