From Clappas through Red Alert, and Bionic Ras, South Rakkas Crew has created remarkably contrasting styles and flavors; broadening their market base; gaining respect and momentum not only from the Dancehall world but: Electronic: Breakbeat: Bass: and Hip Hop.  Expect nothing less from Chinkuzi Riddim Riddin #2.  SRC once again exhibits a diverse range of musical influences which Dow Jones (SRC member) describes as; “…South Rakkas stripped down and built around an infectious groove.”

Leading the all star cast is Beenie Man with ‘Jamaican Style’; proclaiming, “Jamaicans a weh di whole world loves.”  Capelton sets Chinkuzi ablaze with ‘Fireman’s Anthem’.  Bounty Killer deserves multiple rewinds for his signature slackness, ‘Gal Fi Get’.  Sizzla tells us how he loves when the girls are ‘Hot Sexy and Clean’.  A special look goes to Ninja Kid who delivers pure murder with ‘Pan Mi Ting Deh’; one of the most memorable performances on this album.  There are two Spanish performances; one by Proyecto Vega and back for an encore performance, after Red Alert’s ‘Cho Cha’, is Papichulo Entertainment’s Escandalo. We also see the new generation of hot Dancehall artists out of Jamaica including Idonia, Busy Signal, Shano, Xcytment and much more.

There are also a few surprising version twists.  SRC has created what they call an extended family for the Riddim.  Chinkuzi’s Revenge Riddim is a grimy dark counter action, against the happier melodic original, which features Hollow Point, Kid Fareigna, and Beenie Man.  Mr. Easy takes us on a trollop through the Soca fields on Chinkuzi’s Sweet 16 Riddim.  Vybz Kartel, Ce’cile and the mighty Bounty Killer bless the Miami inspired Bass bumping Riddim Chinkuzi’s Roller Girl Special.  Bugsy Malone superbly delivers on a super pop Riddim called Chinkuzi’s No Virgin Riddim.  These different Chinkuzi versions seem to have very little in common making this release essentially a 5 Riddim album. However, for all you DJs out there, all songs do blend together at a blazing 124 bpm (beats per minute) which is sure to rock the Dancehall.
