Biomass Plant
The goal is to combine the resources of private contractors and government agencies to build a plant to produce pellot stove
fuel with the excess forest products found in Central Colorado, along with the possibility of an electrical energy co-generation
plant in the same location to use the excess heat created by the process.
"Wood Village"
To complement the biomass project, the idea is to create a facility for local artisans to create and sell their wood products
in a location that could become a tourist attraction in and of itself as well.
South Park Forestry Association
The goal of this organization is to allow smaller, local forest-related industries to pool resources so that they are able
to bid on larger projects as a cooperative effort.
South Park Area Visitors Association
The idea behind the SPAVA is to create a comprehensive sales effort aimed at increasing the presence and awareness of
Park County, the 285 Corridor, and the US 24 Corridor as a tourist destination within the regional market. For more information
