Park County is located in the geographic center of Colorado. It is crossed by US 285 and US 24--both major all-weather routes through the central portion of Colorado. The Denver Metro area is just to the northeast via US 285, and the Colorado Springs Metro area is just to the southeast via US 24.

The Denver Metro area is 90 minutes or less from most of the northern parts of the county, and the Colorado Springs Metro area is 90 minutes or less from most of the southern parts of the county.
The Denver International Airport is the 4th busiest in the US (busier than LAX), and also has some of the lowest fares of any major hub airport. This airport is accessible within 2 hours or less from almost all areas of Park County.
