Chest Coolers and Uprights. Chest coolers were produced from the late 1920's
through the late 1950's. The 1950s brought on the upright coin-operated,
mechanically-actuated soda machines. All upright machines are refrigerated.
Round vs. Square. Round-top soda machines were produced through the 1959
model year. The 1960's brought with it the beginning of the square-top versions.
Most square-top machines are not embossed. Some square corner machines
have light up panels in the front.
