ATTENTION ALUMNI OF KOFA HIGH SCHOOL - THE BIG CELEBRATION IS ON
- IT IS THE GOLDEN KING THING!
Join all the classes of Kofa High School October 29/30/31/ Nov. 1st as they
celebrate Kofa High School Golden Anniversary - 50 years!
Let's make this the biggest celebration that Yuma has ever
seen! Your class contact will be sending out information
periodically to you. Please know that for any questions you may have we
have set up an email account that will be monitored daily. That email

THIS IS OUR SCHEDULE-AT-A-GLANCE - A MORE DETAILED SCHEDULE WILL FOLLOW IN THE
NEXT FEW WEEKS!
OCTOBER 29TH - Kofa will start the celebration on October 29th with a bonfire
event - don't forget the students will be preparing for the big game of Kofa
vs. Yuma on Friday night!
OCTOBER 30TH - A couple of choices - come to the school on Friday night, there
will be a BBQ sponsored by the students and enjoy the game - live!
OR come to the Yuma County Fairgrounds and watch a live broadcast of the Kofa
vs. Yuma game and enjoy food and good times with all. If you choose
to attend the game please come out to the fairgrounds when it is over!
OCTOBER 31ST - What a way to start the day - there will be a golf tournament
set up and we would love to have you join us. During the day at some
point there will be tours of the campus. If you don't live in Yuma or
haven't been by Kofa lately- WHAT A SURPRISE - the whole school has been
rebuilt and you will really enjoy seeing the changes!
Saturday evening - come out to the fairgrounds in the early evening - enjoy a
wonderful BBQ dinner - meet up with your classmates and enjoy the evening with
music and refreshments!
NOVEMBER 1ST - A perfect ending to a wonderful weekend - we will meet at the
Colorado River at the new park area and we will remember those classmates that
have passed. Each class will be submitting names via an email to be sent
out and we will remember those that are no longer with us. This will be a
wonderful tribute!
HOW CAN I HELP? Of course this is a celebration - but it is also about
fund raising! All profits from any event or item sold will be going
to assist the school in improving the grounds of Kofa High School. There
will be projects to be worked on - bricks in honor or memory to buy, plaques
for athletics, plaques for a new military wall of honor - banners for sports
events to be hung in the gym and banners in honor or you or your family to be
hung on 4th Avenue. We also need help with landscaping activities
on the campus - anyone remember that the south end of the football field still
needs to be landscaped! All this information is to follow in May.
If you are unable to attend and either live in town or out of town there will
be information sent out that you can contribute $10, $20, $50 or more dollars
to any activity that you choose.

SOMETHING BI-MONTHLY FROM THE COMMITTEE AND THEN AS WE DRAW CLOSER TO THE EVENT
YOU WILL RECEIVE EMAILS WEEKLY!
The committee is excited and working hard to make sure this is the best event
ever! It is an awesome time for all classmates to hold mini
reunions during the event!
