Yes Virginia, there really IS a London Bridge in the middle of the desert. A bit of merry olde England spanning the channel in Lake Havasu, Arizona. The bridge was purchased by industrialist Robert P. MCulloch, Sr. who founded Lake Havasu City in 1964, at a cost of $2,460,000.
