Our Knox Street and Green Street
houses are located in Old West Durham (see light green shaded area just north of Duke campus on map left). This is a rapidly
gentrifying residential neighborhood of former mill houses -- now populated by a mix of Duke faculty/staff,
long-term residents, students, aging hippies, and other suspicious types. Lots of trees, quiet streets.
Very close to 9th St, both Duke campuses.
The Chapel Hill Rd. house is located about a quarter mile from the intersection
with Anderson and Chapel Hill Rd. which you can see on the map below -- (house is indicated by the red arrow on the map below).
It is on the edge of Lakewood, a popular residential neighborhood. The Vesson
Ave. house is just a block north of the same intersection -- on the corner of Vesson Ave. and Anderson. (just
above the red arrow) Both are a 8-10 minute bike ride from Duke's West Campus.

The Clarendon St. house is located in Trinity Heights (below),
only one building away from Duke's East Campus wall, and one block east of Broad St. Due to recent Duke-sponsored
development of this neighborhood, there are now new homes both in front and behind our house. The developers maintained the
historic style of the neighborhood, and placed small parks on every block! Only a 5 min. walk to campus bus stop or
9th St. shops.
