: OFFICE OF SPECIAL AFFAIRS NETWORK ORDER : : : OSA NW ORDER 7 10 December 1987 : : OSA NW : : : : : ENEMY ACTION : : : (Originally an LRH OODs item of 12 November : 1968. Issued as an OSA NW Order on 10 December 1987.) |
Miscavige, his lawyers, and his Public Relations representatives said that all Guardian Orders were "cancelled", so naturally the cult has to reissue many as OSA NW Orders. Simple, really. Keep the "tech". Just rename it something else to go with the illusion that the criminals (GO staff) were ousted, and the "off-source tech" issues (Guardian Orders) were cancelled. In parallel, rename the GO the "Office of Special Affairs". It's semantics, that's all -- an "acceptable" truth. The later issue date is after Hubbard's death in 1984. This proves that Scientology did not disband the Guardian's Office, despite Scientology's claims to the contrary. In reality, both GO and OSA are the same Scientology entity, internally named Division 20. An OOD (Order of the Day?) from during the GO days indicates that Hubbard was in direct control of the G.O. |

: : : [Hubbard reveals that "we" finally know the persons responsible : for attacks on Scientology for the last 18 years, and announces it to be : "a small group with international ambitions, founded by a madman, : taken over by a politically ambitious few."] Editor's note - Hmm. Sounds kind of ... familiar. |
According to Hubbard, the first step in dealing with anybody suppressing Scientology is to find the WHO. Scientology blames their failure to Clear the Planet on not properly identifying the WHO. Anonymous remailers drive OSA nuts - they are frozen on Step 1 (find the WHO) and can't proceed to step 2, so the attack remains "unhandled". |
: : [Hubbard explains that the reason for "the fight" was fear that : Scientology would "break them financially," as well as putting a stop : to the "torturing and killing" of patients, noting "and there would go their : income." : |
Here's some twisted logic: "Since Scientology is 'THE REAL ANSWER' then the PsychZombieDrugLordz are attacking us so they can protect their revenue". Note that Hubbard embellishes with "torture" and "killing"; the Lisa McPherson debacle is an example of becoming that which you oppose. |
: : Well, they have now been hurt bad enough to make them : move their HQ. |
|
: : [Hubbard claims that the battle is "swinging our way" with both public and media coming on side.] . |
Hubbard fancied himself to be a military commander. His use of psuedo-military jargon occurs elsewhere in his writings. His actual command of a small ship in the US Navy during WWII resulted in an island off Mexico being fired upon, nearly causing a diplomatic incident. |
: :[ Hubbard notes that this is a "dark" battle, and describes it as mankind's "#1 engram".] |
|
: : [Hubbard accuses those who criticize his organization for abuses : of 'hypocrisy', and notes that victims of their : crimes are like those in concentration camps.] |
|
: : It is the age old battle of truth and light against the : powers of darkness. |
Do Scientologists even think twice when L Ron makes such absurd statements? This kind of black-and-white statement demonstrates that Hubbard is talking to a thought-stopped audience. |
: : [A sanctimonious Hubbard points out that he didn't even intend to be on enemy turf, noting : "we didn't treat the insane." |
|
: : [Hubbard continues in this vein for some time, talking about how Scientology : didn't ask to brought into the war against psychiatry. |
|
: : [ With the enemy 'in the press and in legislatures,' Hubbard concludes, "we" : have no choice but to fight.] |
Here is more eeevil conspiracy. Hubbard believed that the psychs, the government, and the press (to name a few) were working together to destroy Scientology. Hubbard declared his Tech to be infallible, so Scientology's troubles were obviously coming from The Outside. |

Scientology protects Hubbard's writings with copyright and trade secret law. The validity of Scientology's copyrights is being contested in several court cases. In RTC vs FactNet, some interesting questions have arisen surrounding the conveyance of Hubbard's copyrights to CSI/RTC. |
: : --page break-- : : [Hubbard keeps going on and on, rallying the troops for the battle : against the psychs. He reveals that "he" - possibly psychiatry, possibly : the madman at the centre of the small group that has been attacking : psychiatry, I can't keep it straight anymore - has been forced to "move : his headquarters.] |
|
: : We have already hurt his morale and finances enough to : make him move his HQ. |
|
: This one we've got to win. We may not have another : chance. |

Hubbard is clearly controlling the actions of the Guardian's Office, despite Scientology's claims to the contrary during the Snow White trial. Hubbard also controlled the Office of Special Affairs. |
