Day Four

Day four, September 25th, and, after driving from Yosemite to Sequoia, a short hike (maybe 5 miles) around Sequoia's Giant Forest area, then the short 2 mile round trip hike to Sunset Rock.

Tharp's log - Tharp was the earliest white man to visit the area.  He hollowed out this log, added a little bit to it and lived in it during several summers.

Me, standing beside our rental car under Tunnel Log.  This log was over the road going to the Cresent Meadow parking area where we hiked from on this day.  (there was a bypass for those vehicles too high to pass under, or to avoid delay due to picture takers, like us.)

This is a picture of sunset rock about 30 minutes before sun set.  The sun is off to the right out of the picture.
