Liner Notes

Scott Robinson is what I call one of the new super musicians - people like Wynton Marsalis and Herbie Hancock. He plays many different musical instruments, and plays them all exceptionally well. He even invents some of them himself! He is comfortable with many styles and periods of music, and as you listen to him you can hear their influences in his playing. I'm sure that Scott Robinson, and musicians like him, are going to have a really positive effect on the development of artistic music.

Scott Robinson is an extremely versatile musician. He plays many instruments amazingly well. He has a solid musical foundation. But what I like about him is the way he plays. He is quite unpredictable and absolutely uninhibited. He has a wealth of ideas, and the technique to bring them forth. I think that Scott is one of the most impressive young jazz soloists in the scene today. I also think that he's a little crazy ... he's got to be, to play the way he plays - and I think that's great!
