Smoky Hollow Carvers meets in two locations, one in Burbank, the other in La Crescenta. Both are conveniently located
in public park facilities and easily accessed with plenty of parking. Times and locations are listed at the bottom of this
page.
The purpose of our meetings is to promote the craft and art of woodcarving. Some meetings have a theme where a
video or technique is introduced. Other meetings sometimes are a continuation of the previous weeks projects. As always, carvers
are free to work on their own carving projects at their own pace.
The purpose of this organization is to increase the popularity of our common interests. We hope to add new members
so we will be able to grow and expand. We also want to have fun while we are together and working on projects. By developing
relationships and friendships we share and learn, and the organization becomes even stronger.
Over time you'll learn about different woods, styles of carving, patterns, sources of things of interest to carvers,
publications, and books devoted to wood carving.
There is no charge to attend our meetings, however, a voluntary $1 donation is helpful and appreciated to offset
coffee and materials costs.
