(The original Boxford Town Records, of which this is a copy, are entirely in the handwriting of Captain John Peabody, the first town clerk and schoolmaster of Boxford. The records were copied by Sidney Perley in 1880. This transcription of Perley’s version is by Linda Bruzzone.
