Caerthen Dance Practice

Caerthen Dance Practice meets the at the School of Mines on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month (while school is in session).  In spring and summer months, the proposed south canton also has an informal dance practice the third Wednesday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  Beginners are very welcome, as all dances are taught, and partners are not required.  Period clothing is optional.  We emphasize dances documented in Western Europe between 1450 and 1650 (see our Playlist).

For more information, please contact Guillaume de Gonzac (Keith McClune) at (303) 756-7040, or via e-mail at

School of Mines:  We will meet (once the schedule is determined) in the in the Student Center at 1600 Maple Street in Golden.  We usually use Ballroom E.  But once inside the Student Center, follow the SCA signs (room assignments are variable).  From the north, find your best route to highway 58 to Golden.  Take the Washington Avenue exit and turn left (south) toward Golden.  Turn right onto 16th Street.  The Student Center is four blocks up the hill, on the right.
From the South, find your best route to Highway 6 / 6th Avenue (I-70 Exit 262).  Go west past the Justice Center to 19th Street.  Turn right on 19th Street, then turn left on Elm Street.  Follow Elm Street until it turns to the right.  You are now on 16th Street and the Student Center is on your left.
