Note that I try not to use a flash at events, so some of the pictures are a little blurry.

Below are pictures from 2001:

Known World Dance Symposium III

Guillaume and Arwen traveled to fair Carolingia (Boston, Mass.) June 8-12, 2001 for Known World Dance Symposium III.  We had a great time, even if we did utterly destroy our feet and legs.  We learned many new dances and nuances, and met many wonderful people.  Del took some pictures, Adele Desfontaines has KWDS III, Pennsic, and other dance pictures, and we also took a few pictures:

Tatiana and Alwyn's Tenth Anniversary Ball

June 30, 2001 Tatiana and Alwyn (Robin and Ted) celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary with an evening of dance.  Friends were welcome in dress from any era, although most wore SCA costume.  We had fun doing a number of dances - most were called, but none was taught that evening.  We took a few pictures, but neglected to catch the live musicians this time.

Pennsic 30

Guillaume and Arwen joined a number of Outlanders who traveled to Pennsic near The Debatable Lands (see our chronicle).  On August 3-19, 2001 the SCA celebrated Pennsic 30 at Cooper's Lake Campground in Slippery Rock, PA (near New Castle).  This was the largest SCA event ever held (to date) with over 12,000 in attendance.  With that many folk gathered, there has to be dancing.  This year, we were blessed by the addition of a dance floor constructed by Fillip of the Marche and many helpers.  The larger dances are still held in the barn, though (maybe someday, with more helpers...)
