A double horn. Rare in colonial times, even more scarce today. This scrimed horn has a walnut flow thru middle plug and turned cherry pegs. This side shows a hunting scene from the Highlands of Scotland.

The other side. Here you can see the forged and twisted staple. Scrimshawed here is a poem of Robert Burns (1780s).It reads... My heart is in the Highlands, My heart is not here, My heart is in the Highlands, A chasing the deer. Perfect horn for a Scot. Asking price is $125 plus $5 shipping and insurance. COHT members receive a 5% discount with proof of membership.

The Green Man; a pagan idol of the Celts; takes care of the forest and all that dwells within.
