Ransom Foster (b. circa 1800 near Spartanburg? South Carolina), married in Hall County, Georgia circa 1827 to Martha McEver/McKever (b. 1805 in Georgia). Ransom and Martha moved eventually to Summerville, Chattooga County, GA. I am descended from Ransom's second child - James Berryman Foster (b. 1830 in South Carolina) - who moved to the Trenton/Leonard area in Fannin County, Texas about 1867.
