To get to the house: The address is 21612 Moscow Road in Monte Rio, CA. The following directions are from MapQuest, so use with care :) (the map is from the landlord, however):
Use 101 North from San Francisco for 51.7 mi. Merge onto CA-12 West towards Sebastopol (3.4mi). Turn slight right onto Fulton Rd, then turn left onto Occidental Rd (7.13mi). Turn slight right onto Green Hill Rd; Green Hill Rd eventually becomes Graton Rd (2.84mi). Turn right onto Bohemian Hwy and follow the winding road for a while (6mi). Turn slight left onto Fir Rd, then turn right on Main St and finally turn left onto Moscow Rd and proceed to 21612.
What's happening on Monday? Ballon inflation will start Monday morning at 6am, somewhere near Santa Rosa. We'll just meet at their cafe and go to the inflation site together. People in the balloon will meet up with the chase car and everybody else who was following the chase car as soon as the ballon has landed. From there we go to the ballonists cafe and have some brunch. The cafe and the ballon shop are at Kal's Kaffe Mocha, located at 397 Aviation Blvd., just north of Santa Rosa. Take Highway 101 about 3 miles north of Santa Rosa, exit on Airport Blvd. Turn right at the first traffic light- Aviation Blvd. and immediately right again into the parking lot for Kal's.
The next thing: One of the beauties of Sonoma County is its abundance of wineries. However, that is boring. So we decided to stop by Gloria Ferrers Champagne Caves, have a tour and a sampling. The tour starts at 10:30am at 23555 Carneros Hwy (121) in Sonoma, CA. It's roughly 45min south of Santa Rosa. Take Hwy. 101 South (towards San Francisco). In Petaluma, take the E. Washington St. exit. Turn left (east) onto E. Washington St. Turn right onto Adobe Rd. At intersection with Hwy. 116 (5 miles) turn left. At intersection with Hwy. 121 (also called Arnold Dr.) go straight 1/2 mile . You
Lunchtime: By now, inebriation levels should be sufficiently high to warrant more food. Our wedding buffet will be found at 12.30 at Paradise Ridge Winery in Santa Rosa, 4545 Thomas Lake Harris Drive. To get there, take Highway 101 North. Exit Bicentennial Way. Go East. Pass through four stoplights, Bicentennial will merge onto Fountaingrove Parkway. Second left onto Thomas Lake Harris Drive. Paradise Ridge Winery gate is 7/10 of a mile on the left. There will be food and wine aplenty, so relax and take a break from the mornings exhaustions.
More????? That is pretty much it. Well, not quite. We want to let the evening die away with a BBQ at the house in Monte Rio. If you're up to it, meet us there around 7-8ish, to watch a grill go up in flames, frolick in the jacuzzi and finally have some real American food :). Drinks, music and space to dance will hopefully be there, too.
