How I Removed my center console

1. On center panel of dash, remove small plastic covers to the left and right side of upper vents, and remove exposed screws.

2. On center panel of dash, just above radio, remove long narrow plastic strip by pressing a flat-bladed screwdriver up under left and right edges (about 1" in from each side) to compress spring clips and pull straight out from dash. May require two screwdrivers to perform this trick w/o snapping the plastic strip. Remove 2 screws behind this panel.

. 3 (Left). You can now remove the center dash panel covering the radio and vents by pulling on the lower edge of center panel just above shifter, to pop out two spring clips at bottom edge. Lift up bottom edge and pull center panel out away from dash. This exposes two screws in the console. Remove.

4 (Right). Remove ashtray by opening lid and pulling straight up. This exposes a couple more screws. Once these are out you can then lift the edge of the console nearest the radio and lift up slightly. This will then allow you to pull the console forward towards the engine which then frees the rear end of the console panel from two tabs which slide under the center storage boot.

5. Lift console partially off until you can get to the electrical connections for the lighter, mirror control, and courtesy light. Disconnect and remove console.
