3. Contacting your NMIHOA District Representatives (see the board member section of
the navagation bar) or members of the NMI Special District Advisory Board (our own special zoning board by referendum vote)
through the Brevard County Planning & Zoning office)

6. Speaking in person at the next meetings of the:
A. North Merritt Island Homeowners Association

and most importantly...
C. Board of County Commissioners (check the county website for the agenda of the next meeting or contact your
Commissioner's office for the appropriate date and time of your item of interest.)
County Commissioner's zoning meetings are open to the public and anyone who wishes
to be added to the agenda to speak on a topic that is not on the agenda should call the County Manager's office
for instructions.
To speak on an item that is on the BoCC agenda, such as a zoning issue, a pink
note card must be filled out in the back of the room prior to the subject you wish to address comes before the Commission.
There is a five minute limit for citizens to speak at Commission meetings on zoning issues. Please note that it
is more effective to relate facts and relevant data to the BoCC, rather than feelings or emotions, to assist them in making
their decisions.
As Residents of North Merritt Island, we need to
actively participate in the decision-making process
if our North Island Home is to be a quality community
for all residents.
