Slapdash formed in 1995 under another name, and switched in 1996-97. After numerous gigs throughout the Los Angeles,
Hollywood and Silverlake areas, they gained some notoriety as a peppy, assertive (relatively quick) tour de force.
In 1998 the band took a hiatus from gigging, and came back in 2000 as a power-trio. The band also also acquired the
US trademark to the name at that time.
Recently:
Slapdash recorded it's debut CD Reciprocal in 2005-06, and it was released online in March, 2007.
Reciprocal (or any of the songs on it) is also available for purchase at itunes, as well as Digstation.com.
You can purchase the physical CD from CD BABY as well (it contains an extra track and stuff).
If you're a fan of Napster or Audio Lunchbox, it's there too. We even saw a few copies on Amazon! (Don't buy the Amazon
ones....people are trying to make money by buying them cheaper from CD Baby and inflating the price. We have no ties to Amazon
for merchandising)
Credit where credit is due:
The recording was produced by Robbie Rist and the band, with Missy Buettner engineering, at The
Boathouse in Woodland Hills, CA.(see our "friends" to get to their page) It was mastered by David Guerrero (Third
Grade Teacher). The cover was designed by the band, and Mike Simmons (Sparklejets UK).
All the songs on it are written by Steven Graff (BMI).
