A cel of Julia has been on my wishlist for a long time, and for a long time I doubted the wish would ever be fulfilled. This may not be exactly an A grade cel, but the price was in the almost-too-good-to-be-true range, so I took advantage of it. I'm trying to think now about why I wanted a Julie cel so much, and I think it has more to do with her character than her design. Hey, a woman who can tame Spike must have something. I think the characters are one of the things that sets Bebop apart from other anime, they have some depth that goes beyond the stereotypes. In Julia it seems to come down to a tragic conflict between wanting to be with Spike and wanting to save him. The way it plays out is really at the heart of the story, and that's my answer as to why I wanted a Julia cel. So now that I've justified it, I can start looking for more...
