One of the things I didn't really like about the second season of Rayearth was that all of the girls had to get hooked up with somebody. I liked the Fuu/Ferio romance angle because that gave some depth to Fuu's character. Ascot's crush on Umi made sense, but after that it all started to seem contrived to me. Maybe it's just a shoujo thing that I don't get. Anyway, here, in episode 34, it's Caldina's turn. At least she did it in proper Calidna style, she didn't wait to be asked out, she just found the guy she wanted and jumped on him. The background is non-matching, and I have no idea where it might have come from.
