For those who like it dry.

On the label:
"Dry, full-bodied with aromas of cherry and black pepper followed by forward, rich fruit flavors and balanced with soft, supple tannins. Serve with your favorite beef, lamb, veal, and red sauced pasta dishes."

The key word here is dry. It is very dry. Decent body with what appear to be "woody" flavors -whatever the hell that means. You should do food with this wine. It is not sit-around-watching-Seinfeld drinking wine wine. For my taste it is too dry and smoky when taken alone. I am sure it is wonderfull when accomanied by beef or lamb or veal.

What is the thing with lamb? Many red wines suggest eating lamb with their product. Do people eat lamb that much? I don't recall ever having eaten lamb.

I am no animal activist, but it does seem rather heartless slaughtering baby sheep just to have something that tastes good with wine.

My wife suggests I could make the same argument for other baby animals such as veal. Are their others? Do we eat baby ducks, baby fish, baby moose? For God's sake, shouldn't we just eat adult critters.
