Very good pucker effect.
On the label:
"...derives its
intense flavors from premium California Central Coast vineyards,
which produce grapes of exceptional quality and character. Award
winning winemaker David Schlottman aged this wine in small oak
barrels for six months to give the wine complexity and a toasty
oak character, with lush berry and cherry flavors"
It's fun to think of grapes having good character. Also, if small
barrels make for better wine, just how small could we get those
suckers down - the size of a thumbnail perhaps.
I could detect a lush berry or two.
This is a smooth wine with wonderful roiling cabernet flavors.
Don't use mouthwash after drinking this
wine as you will wake up in the middle of the night with a horrible
taste in your mouth that takes two days to get rid of. I thought
I had stomach cancer.
I love it that they provide directions
for removing the cork:
Remove cork by twisting corkscrew directly through natural
food wax seal. And I thought it was just a plain old wax
seal. Natural food?
Here is what Consumer Reports says:
"Full flavored, with all the typical Cabernet aromas, plus
plum, raspberry, and licorice. A bit less dry and with a longer
finish than most . Should age nicely." |
