Glen Ellen
1995

$5.00

Eric's Rating:
5.92 grapes.

Tastes vaguely like Cabernet Sauvignon.

On the label:
"You can taste it in Glen Ellen wines and find it in the can-do attitude of Junior Diwata, Microbiologist. Junior's lab tests proved the benefits of using fresher corks. Thanks to innovative thinking like Junior's, you can taste the Glen Ellen difference."

This is a meek little number resembling sugar water and grape juice. What essence and body it possesses evaporates on the tongue like a sprig of cotton candy. It does have a harmless sweetness that will satisfy children. Holds up well the second day. Probably decent enough with food.

Here is what Consumer Reports says:

"Though it has many typical Cabernet aromas, the wine is light bodied and is losing fruitiness. Drink it soon."
