About Steevie Jane Parks, Ph.D.

Steevie is a warm, intuitive and creative Clinical Psychologist, who has been working in the field of mental health since 1975. She is currently particularly interested in working with individuals who are experiencing debilitating levels of stress related to identity issues and major life transitions (such as learning to emotionally separate from parents, changing or choosing careers, and separation and divorce issues).  She finds great pleasure in seeing her clients move from feeling 'victimized' by life's challenges to feeling 'victorious' and 're-vitalized' by their own successes.

Steevie especially enjoys working with people in groups. She has had specialized training in the areas of Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Family therapy, Hypnosis, Psychodrama, Working with Child and Adult Sexual Abuse Survivors, Parent Coordination, as well as Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Evaluation. She is adept at helping each of her clients to choose among various therapuetic tools, to find the combination that is best suited to their needs. She has been in private practice as a Clinical Psychologist since 1988.

Steevie can be reached at (919) 918-1014
