POETRY

A person who can write poetry is pretty special, because poetry is the addition of color to life. A person who can read other people's poetry without a critic's eye is really great, especially with what people today have to say. I once submitted a few poems to contests, and when I bought the books I got published in, my dorky, little poem was surrounded by anger and pain. I like to think that anger is more interesting when it comes through a smile, and pain is altogether more bearable framed in a laugh.
