A seemingly simple image of a happy little girl skipping down a sunny path that leads her into a dark and fearsome forest. She emerges unscathed - except for her new red dress, which is torn. It becomes evidence of her experience.
Set to evocative music composed by the writer-director, The Red Dress is dream, a metaphor, an archetypal vision of transformation.
