The Silver Lakers comprise a growing circle of Los Angeles residents, artists, businesses and individuals committed to the goal of increasing public arts. Since 2001, We have installed new public artworks across Los Angeles. By 2005, the Silver Lakers has conducted arts seminars with thousands of Elementary students and installed new public artwork in a dozen schools.

We believe that arts improve public spaces in a way that transforms not just the space itself , but people as well. Great public arts leads to great changes, it inspires, revitalizes communiites and challenges us all to new visions and possibilities.

The purpose of the Silver Lakers is to create and foster public arts projects and support them with the professional talent, resources, experience and expertise of our membership.

Creating public arts through community involvement takes commitment. Our vision is is to build and grow a base of business and inviduals willing and able to transorm our most neglected public apces. We hope to add new members so we will be able to grow and expand. We also want to have fun while when we are together and working on projects. By developing relationships and friendships, the organization will become even stronger. Do you share this belief? Willing to lend a hand?
