Martinez (who played drums with Black
Flag). His current eponymous band has been playing together for the last three and a
half years and has developed from what Chiffon describes as a folk-acoustic act to an
electrified folk band. In addition to Chiffon, the band includes Wilson on base, Scott Oliver on guitar, and until very recently, Gary Benson on drums (Josh Cohen has recently stepped into replace Benson). |

| Almost from its beginning, the band has been successful at generating an industry buzz. In the Summer of '96 Greg Kovner of the professional management company, Digicom Entertainment, spotted the band playing at the Whisky and immediately offered his services. After |
| four months of
negotiating, the band signed a contract with Digicom and this December they will record a
demo tape at Eleven Studio. Asked about what he's looking for in a label, Chiffon stated that the band is looking for a deal with a major and has recently been flirting with Electra. As for favorite venues, the band enjoys performing at The Viper Room, The Garage, Spaceland, Al's Bar, and the now defunct Club Hard at the Faultline. |
