About Us

"The only thing we love more than dancing is being able to share it with you!"

The Sidekickers have enjoyed traveling and performing since 1989. We have traveled the entire state of Colorado, and to Mulvane, Kansas, and parts east and west of Colorado.  We have enjoyed the most receptive audiences ANYWHERE with the added bonus of beautiful scenery along the way.  We have had the pleasure of having young people drag their parents back stage for an autograph or a picture.

We do look forward to having new people join our troupe and the continued joy of being able to share our dance with others.

Our History

Back in 1984, Marla took her dance classes from just a class to an all-out performing dance troupe.  The troupe features high-energy, production numbers complete with lifts, drops and flips!  The first show that she put together was The Gold Rush Show.  Most of the current members started with the troupe in 1990.   New members have been added over the years.  In about 1996, Marla was asked to choreograph routines for a local band, The Hubcaps.  From this band's request, The Malt Shop Review was born.  Homz, a troupe member, has added two great group numbers as a contributing choreographer.  The Cruizin Crew performs routines to 50's greats - from 'Run Around Sue' to a medoly from 'Grease'.  The USO Show grew out of  the "Let's Dance" A.A.R.P. tour of 1999, showcasing the wonderful music of the Big Band Era.  Routines are set the music of the Big Band Era of the 1930's and '40's.  Zoot suits are a signature of this show and Lindy-Hop at the 'Kit Kat Club'.  We are proud to present our sincere, patriotic tribute honoring our men and women in uniform.  Today, The Sidekickers enjoy presenting three shows - The Gold Rush Show, the Malt Shop Review, and the USO Show.  We love tayloring our routines to highlight your event.  Pur 'Specialty Presentations' include:  our Halloween Shows, A Night at Moulin Rouge or Wings Over the Rockies entertainment.
